Maple Leaf Free Crochet C2C Pattern Square | Part 6 of 8 Halloween

Happy Halloween friends! 🎃 Part 6 of 8 of the Halloween Crochet Pattern Series! Meet the Fall Maple Leaf C2C square! We are coming to the end and it’s almost Halloween! I’m very excited!

Scrap-Tastic Blog Hoppers!

If you are here for the scrap-tastic blog hop, please scroll ALL the way down to the bottom of the page to find the DOWNLOAD graphic. It has a scarecrow on it, you can’t miss it. Thanks for being here!

What are you dressing up as this year?

We are rounding the corner and so far we have the Jack O’ Lantern, Smiley Candy Corn, Boo Ghost, R.I.P. Tombstone and Witch Hat! Today’s posts are the Tombstone RIP C2C and the Fall Maple Leaf C2C graphs!

Fall leaves are so beautiful, and maple leafs are my favorite. Fall is definitely here, and even though this Maple Leaf square is a part of the Halloween series, I think this will be a good one as a stand alone or a good addition to another pattern.

I created these squares quite small, using a 4mm hook & Lion Brands 24/7 cotton. They measure around 8″ x 8″ (all of the squares in the series will be small).

If you use a different brand, and a larger hook, your squares will be larger! Which is why I titled this post as a blanket OR a wall hanging 😀.

This is a C2C graph pattern. If you are not familiar with C2C, check out my beginner C2C tutorial here.

Check out the C2C blanket size calculator too, so you can figure out how big your square will be if you choose a yarn different than the recommended yarn.

I used the 5 / 2 corner to corner crochet method for the sample. This means that to start, I chained 5, then worked my first double crochet into the 3rd chain from the hook. Then used a ch 2, instead of ch 3 on the inside squares. This technique makes the holes smaller.

This one is a little trickier because WordPress does not allow saving of photos from PC (mine always end up blank for some reason).
