Happy Halloween friends! Are you ready for some fun? I know I am! This week I am releasing a pattern or two every day leading up to Halloween! Meet the smiley pumpkin C2C square! This Halloween Jack O Lantern C2C Square is Part 1 of 8 of the Halloween Crochet Blanket & Wall Hanging.
This week I joined my friend Crystal in her crochet challenge group on Facebook to share my “expertise” in C2C. It was a lot of fun and reminded me how much I miss corner to corner crochet.
I’ve been working so hard on the back end of my site and finishing up paperwork for designs I’ve had long finished.
I’m so excited to get these out there this week. Don’t worry, I am still going to release some garment designs soon too!

Halloween C2C Blanket & Wall Hanging
So…I crocheted this as a small square, using a 4mm hook & Lion Brands 24/7 cotton. This is classified as a 4 weight yarn, but is very thin, and works more like a 3 weight. It measures 8″ x 8″ (all of the squares will be small).
If you use a different brand, and a larger hook, your squares will be larger! Which is why I titled this post as a blanket OR a wall hanging .
Make all of them!

This is a C2C graph pattern. If you are not familiar with C2C, check out my beginner C2C tutorial here.
Check out the C2C blanket size calculator too, so you can figure out how big your square will be if you choose a yarn different than the recommended yarn.
- 4 mm crochet hook
- Yarn in Orange, Purple, Green, and Dark Grey (see below for details on what I used for this pattern)
- Darning Needle
+ Suggested Yarn
Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton, medium weight #4 yarn (100% Cotton, 186 yds/ 170 m per 3.5 oz skein)

I used the 5 / 2 corner to corner crochet method for the sample. This means that to start, I chained 5, then worked my first double crochet into the 3rd chain from the hook. Then used a ch 2, instead of ch 3 on the inside squares. This technique makes the holes smaller.

Place your finger on the image and do a long hold until options pop up. Scroll down and choose “save to device”
This one is a little trickier because WordPress does not allow saving of photos from PC (mine always end up blank for some reason).
So use this link as a direct download – please let me know if you have any issues. You can also use the “Print Screen” function or use a screen clip to capture it and then print.
