The inspiration for this slouch stems from the mighty Flint Ridge caves (They are the longest cave system in North America) and the giant Sequoias. The Sequoias are the tallest, most beautiful trees in the world. I envision hiking trails wearing this beauty. 😊. Even though I’ve never been there… lol…a girl can *dream*

I used a few different yarns to create this pattern. The sample is created using Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand in the colorway Wheat. Then I worked it up in Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in Ivory Tweed (I liked this one a little better, because it is softer). The colorful sample I created using Lion Brand’s Mandala in the colorway Chimera.
Use recommended hook size for yarn you choose – I used a 5.5 mm (I hook) for the slouchy beanie I created with Vanna’s Choice, and a 5.0 mm (H hook) for the Ivory Tweed & Chimera beanies.
This is a great ambitious beginner friendly pattern. The stitch guide is there to help you work the pattern, and I’ve created several videos on my YouTube Channel that will help you work the pattern as well!
I hope you enjoy this pattern. Please feel free to contact me with any questions :).
