It’s the Spooky Season!

Spooky season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate Halloween than by crocheting your very own adorable amigurumi ghosts?

This cute ghost crochet pattern is perfect whether you’re a crochet enthusiast or a newbie to the craft.

A cute free crochet pattern for a little ghost, that is not only the perfect project for celebrating Halloween but also an ideal choice for a delightful crafting experience.

Plus, the best part? It’s a no-sew pattern, making it quick, easy, and suitable for all projects.

In this step by step tutorial, I will walk you through the steps to create your charming mini ghost amigurumi using worsted weight yarn (I used Parfait Chunky). Let’s get started!

Materials You’ll Need

Before we dive into crocheting, gather your materials. You’ll need:

  • Chunky yarn or worsted weight yarn in white (or any yarn color you choose)
  • Crochet hook suitable for your yarn (see the pattern below for my recommended yarn and hook size)
  • Stuffing material – you can use recycled stuffing from an old pillow too.
  • Yarn needle – if you use a chunky yarn, choose a wide eye darning needle.
  • Safety eyes or embroidery thread for the ghost’s eyes and mouth.

Getting Started: Crocheting Basics

If you’re new to crocheting, don’t worry; this pattern is a beginner-friendly crochet ghost pattern! Start with a slip knot and create a magic ring to build your ghost from the ground up.

You can also work a chain of 2 and work into the first chain, but a magic circle works much better.

I will  guide you through the essential stitches, such as single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), and slip stitch (sl st), half double crochet (hdc), and single crochet 2 together (sc2tog) needed to complete your project.
