How to Crochet: Pineapple Puff Stitch | Easy Video Tutorial for Beginners

The pineapple puff crochet stitch is one of my new favorite stitches. It has a great texture and is slightly airy. It is easy to crochet and useful for a myriad of crochet projects! I have used this stitch in several projects over the years, including the Sequoia Ridge Slouch beanie (a free pattern). favorites.  It’s so easy to create and is so useful for all kinds of projects.  I’ve used it in scarves, hats, and blankets.  It works up super fast too and its versatile too!  You can yarn over as many times as you’d like to create a small or larger puff, which is great!

The pineapple puff stitch creates a great horizontal look to the puff, unlike traditional puff stitches which have a vertical look to them.  Keep an eye out for some new patterns using this pineapple puff, because I think I’m in love.

I would love to see all your creations using this stitch.  Head over Instagram or Facebook and post some pics!

What is your favorite type of crochet project?

I recently asked some of my crochet groups what they like to crochet the most and I was surprised to find out it was Afghans!  Then hats & beanies were a close second.

I haven’t delved into the world of Afghans very often, but I absolutely love creating C2C graphs.  I only wish I had more time to design, and create ALL my patterns for graphs.  Soon I will be uploaded a bunch of C2C graphs.

I hope you enjoyed this video tutorial and learned something new today!
