Happy Halloween friends! Part 7 of 8 of the Halloween Crochet Blanket & Wall Hanging is here! Today’s square is a classic Bat and Moon Free C2C Halloween Crochet Pattern!

I really love to channel my inner superhero as often as I can, because after 10 years of chronic pain and a “mystery” illness. Trying to make every pain free day count! I know so many of you understand that.

Bat and Moon Free C2C Halloween Crochet Pattern PDF

Of course you can use any size crochet hook, but for the samples I used a 4mm hook & Lion Brands 24/7 cotton. They measure around 8″ x 8″ (all of the squares in the series will be small).

If you use a different brand, and a larger hook, your squares will be larger! Which is why I titled this post as a blanket OR a wall hanging .

+ Pattern

This is a C2C graph pattern. If you are not familiar with C2C, check out my easy beginner C2C tutorial here.

Check out the C2C blanket size calculator too, so you can figure out how big your square will be if you choose a yarn different than the recommended yarn.

+ Materials

• 4 mm crochet hook
• Yarn in Magenta, Tan, and Gold (see below for details on what I used for this pattern)
• Darning Needle
• Scissors

+ Suggested Yarn

Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton, medium weight #4 yarn (100% Cotton, 186 yds/ 170 m per 3.5 oz skein)

• Lemon
• Jade or Blue (in the PDF it says TEAL, but the color is Jade)
• Charcoal

Bat and Moon Free C2C Halloween Crochet Pattern PDF

I used the 5 / 2 corner to corner crochet method for the sample. This means that to start, I chained 5, then worked my first double crochet into the 3rd chain from the hook. Then used a ch 2, instead of ch 3 on the inside squares. This technique makes the holes smaller.
