R.I.P. Tombstone C2C Square | Part 5 of 8 Halloween Crochet Blanket & Wall Hanging

Happy Halloween friends and Happy Friday! πŸŽƒ Part 5 of 8 of the Halloween Crochet Blanket & Wall Hanging is here! Meet the RIP Tombstone C2C square!

So far we have the Jack O’ Lantern, Smiley Candy Corn, Boo Ghost, and Witch Hat! Today’s posts are the Tombstone RIP C2C and the Fall Maple Leaf C2C graphs!

I mentioned in the last post that I’ve come down with a cold, and I’m sooo sorry this was delayed. I’m thankful it is not the big C, but it has knocked me out a bit. I’ve been taking elderberry gummies, vitamin C, and homemade chicken πŸ” soup with rice.

Pro Tip: Remember to block these after you complete and *before* you weave in the tails.

When we finish, we will create 8 filler color squares and them sew or crochet them together to create a blanket (I may make a wall hanging).

As I mention in part 1, I created these squares quite small, using a 4mm hook & Lion Brands 24/7 cotton. They measure around 8″ x 8″ (all of the squares in the series will be small).

If you use a different brand, and a larger hook, your squares will be larger! Which is why I titled this post as a blanket OR a wall hanging πŸ˜€.

This is a C2C graph pattern. If you are not familiar with C2C, check out my beginner C2C tutorial here.

Check out the C2C blanket size calculator too, so you can figure out how big your square will be if you choose a yarn different than the recommended yarn.

I used the 5 / 2 corner to corner crochet method for the sample. This means that to start, I chained 5, then worked my first double crochet into the 3rd chain from the hook. Then used a ch 2, instead of ch 3 on the inside squares. This technique makes the holes smaller.

This one is a little trickier because WordPress does not allow saving of photos from PC (mine always end up blank for some reason).

So use this link as a direct download – please let me know if you have any issues. You can also use the “Print Screen” function or use a screen clip to capture it and then print.
