31 Free Crochet Mushroom Patterns that are so Adorable

Fall always reminds me of fairies, falling leaves, little mushrooms popping up through the fallen leaves and squirrels gathering nuts for the winter. These free crochet mushroom patterns set the mood for crochet by the campfire.

There’s something so charming and whimsical about crocheted mushrooms. They make for great decorations in the home, and can even be used as pins and ornaments. Mushrooms are one of my favorite things to crochet. They’re so cute and they’re so easy to make! I’ve collected a bunch of free crochet mushroom patterns so you can make your own little mushroom friends.

Fun Free Crochet Mushroom Patterns

So, if you’re looking for some fun and festive mushroom crochet patterns, you’ve come to the right place. From classic toadstools to mushrooms with quirky personalities, there’s a design here for everyone.

In this blog post, I compiled 31 amazing patterns. Although the fairy house isn’t exactly beginner-friendly pattern, it is definitely a great collaborative project to work on with the kids.

These patterns are all free to use, so feel free to crochet as many mushrooms as you want! I hand-picked and clicked ALL of them to make sure they are FREE.

Most of these mushroom patterns will use a worsted weight yarn, however, some of the mushroom stuffie patterns will use a super bulky yarn, which you can find at your local yarn store.

I just ordered a bunch for the festival at my grandsons school in December, and I know the large ultra-plush mushroom patterns tend to use bulky velvet yarns by Bernat or Premier. So that’s what I ordered.

I’m looking forward to crocheting some of the large mushroom stuffy patterns for sure!
